Adinya Arise Foundation is organizing a 3-day needs assessment training in Abuja, Nigeria from the 3rd to 5th December 2018.
Adinya Arise Foundation is an organization committed to building both individual and organizational capacity through youth sexuality and maternal health rights.
We have launched a 3-semester participatory needs assessment training in order to build civil society organization’s technical capacity in conducting needs assessment in order to have a good understanding of community needs ahead of designing gender-inclusive interventions that are need-targeted.
We believe as an organization that every member of the society has a peculiar need, peculiar also to its gender and social status.
This is the reason why we are providing this basic learning opportunity so that women, girls, and other vulnerable groups can be a part of the mainstream sustainable development agenda.
Oftentimes CSOs including NGOs have attempted sourcing for funding through response to calls for proposals and some have fortunately succeeded while others yet to succeed.
However, the question is for those who have succeeded, are the intervention funds need-targeted? Yet others do not respond to calls because they are not sure what project to present for funding as its relevance cannot be justified.
As an organization, we hope to address this critical need. Yes, this is a training need assessment that we hope to take up to the level of proposal writing and project cycle management including monitoring and evaluation and report writing.
We have experienced trainers and facilitators who in their magnanimity accepted this responsibility selflessly. The workshop promises to be highly participatory and full of innovations but also promises to be very rewarding.

Date: 3rd – 5th December 2018
